Preventive chemotherapy data portal: Preventive chemotherapy is one of the interventions deployed by the World Health Organization to combat at least five diseases – lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, schistosomiasis, soil-transmitted helminthiases and trachoma – involves administering six medicines in seven different combinations, making it possible to treat more than one disease at a time. Preventive chemotherapy is one of the largest, most successful public health interventions in history, benefitting a billion people worldwide. This data portal presents global and country progress towards achieving the Roadmap targets for control and elimination of the Neglected Tropical Diseases.
