WHO helps countries to develop the necessary public health capacities at ports, airports and ground crossings to limit the spread of public health risks, while at the same time minimizing any unnecessary interference with travel and trade.

WHO’s support includes developing guidance and providing training and simulation exercises on the ground, to enable countries to meet their IHR commitments.
