Vaccine programme launched in Malawi and Ghana

On 23 April, Malawi was the first of 3 African countries to roll out the RTS,S malaria vaccine in selected areas of moderate-to-high transmission. Rigorous clinical testing has shown its potential to boost malaria prevention and save lives. Ghana introduced the vaccine on 30 April, and Kenya will follow soon after.
