World malaria report 2019

4 December 2019

The World malaria report 2019 shows that the scourge of malaria continues to strike hardest against pregnant women and young children in Africa. Scaling up efforts to reduce cases and deaths among these 2 populations would provide a significant boost in the fight against malaria.

This year's report draws on data from all countries and areas with ongoing malaria transmission. The information is supplemented by data from national household surveys and databases held by other organizations.
