26 February 2019 | Geneva -- A photo exhibition of the 20 neglected tropical diseases prioritized by the World Health Organization for control, elimination and eradication is on display in the main hallway of the UNAIDS building in Geneva, Switzerland.
The photographs, printed on aluminium board, provide a brief description of each disease, the global strategy, the target and the progress achieved. Originally displayed during the Global Partners’ Meeting on neglected tropical diseases (Geneva, 19 April 2017), the photos were also exhibited temporarily in WHO’s library.
The WHO Deputy Director-General for Programmes, Dr Soumya Swaminathan, visited the exhibition together with staff of the Department this afternoon.
