IFPRI 's areas of interest are in food systems and food policy interventions that will sustainably ensure lifelong nutrition and good health with emphasis on the poor sectors of society. IFPRI' s nutrition research focuses on addressing all forms of malnutrition through strengthening and rigorously evaluating multisectoral programs and policies that aim at improving the diets, nutritional status, and health of mothers, infants, and young children during the first 1, 000 days and at other critical stages of the lifecycle (for example, adolescence).
IFPRI’s vision is a world free of hunger and malnutrition. Its mission is to provide research-based policy solutions that sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition.
