The Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health was developed under the leadership of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as a signature initiative for the 2010 Millennium Development Goals Summit, September 2010. The Strategy seeks to mobilize resources and catalyze public-private partnerships to prevent the deaths of millions of women, newborns and children.
