Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2011 Annual Meeting

Venue: New York; Sheraton Hotel & Towers

The Clinton Global Initiative’s Annual Meeting brings together heads of state, government and business leaders, scholars, and NGO directors. Participants analyze pressing global challenges, discuss the most effective solutions, and build lasting partnerships that enable them to create positive social change.

This year’s Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting will again focus on girls and women and allow its members to take a deeper look at what is working in girls and women’s empowerment as well as highlight areas where more resources could make a significant impact. It will include a panel, Reproducing Success: Game-changing Interventions in Women’s Health, which will look specifically at stories of significant success.

This year's meeting will focus on the following topics: 1) Girls and Women: Scaling What Works; 2) Sustainable Consumption: Ensuring Long-term Prosperity on a Finite Planet; and 3) Jobs, Jobs, Jobs: Generating Employment for the 21st Century.
