The Standing Committee

The Standing Committee oversees the management and financing of TDR and comprises the co-sponsors, namely UNICEF, UNDP, the World Bank and WHO, the Chair and Vice-Chair of the JCB, the Chair of STAC, one representative from the JCB resource contributors group, and one representative from a disease endemic country.

The next meeting of the Standing Committee will be held in October or November 2019 (dates to be confirmed in June 2019).

TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) is a global programme of scientific collaboration established in 1975. Its focus is to improve the health and well-being of people burdened by infectious diseases of poverty through research and innovation. TDR is based at the World Health Organization (WHO), and is sponsored by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank and WHO.
