22 October 2014 | Geneva

Stakeholders support WHO’s target of achieving and sustaining the elimination of rhodesiense human African trypanosomiasis as a public health problem by 2020 (defined as less than 1 case/10 000 at risk).

Participants attending the first Stakeholders meeting for rhodesiense human African trypanosomiasis in Geneva, Switzerland on 20-22 October 2014 also stated their interest in joining the network launched in March 2014 for the elimination of the gambiense form of the disease.
