Fifth stakeholder meeting: setting the foundations for post-2015
6 - 7 NOVEMBER 2014 | GENEVA, SWITZERLAND - The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Governments of Canada and Norway co-convened the fifth accountability meeting for stakeholders which brought together close to 100 high level representatives from governments, civil society, and international organizations. The experts gathered in Geneva for two days to reaffirm their commitment to accelerating progress towards women’s and children’s health in the lead up to and in the post-2015 era, and to discuss how to ensure that accountability remains at the centre of this agenda.
The meeting was divided into six panel sessions over two days and included some group work. Key discussions included building a successor Global Strategy and the new Global Financing Facility that was announced in September at the UN General Assembly.
